When was the last time you did something for yourself and yourself only? As women we take on many roles in life, acting as wives, mothers, friends, sisters, colleagues, bosses and so on.
Whilst it’s in our nature to take on these responsibilities it’s important we remind ourselves of our own needs and avoid putting our own health and wellbeing aside.

Here are 5 blissful methods you can use to ensure you’re always giving back to yourself, ways you’re can regularly refill your cup that extend beyond the wonderous walls of our sanctuary!
1. Take your time
We all know how tempting it can be to hit the snooze button several times in the morning before rushing to get up and out the door, but this puts unnecessary stress on our minds before the day has even started! Instead, why not try to enjoy the morning, pause and listen to the birds sing while you make your bed, or read the news whilst you slowly sip on a cup of tea of coffee?
Relaxing in the morning can help prepare you to tackle the day and is a great example of how the simple act of slowing down can do wonders for yourself.
It’s not a good idea to spend every evening in front of the television or dining in unhealthy, overpriced restaurants every night but that isn’t to say that indulging in a guilty pleasure occasionally is a bad thing!
By taking the time to sparingly acknowledge and reward your successes day-to-day you will be strengthening those actions and changing that positive feeling into a habit and a natural part of your everyday life.
Regular exercise is a great way to keep your body healthy, but it can also have wonderful mental health benefits.
There is lots of research out there to say that regular exercise builds higher self-esteem, sharper thinking, better sleep and more energy which are all important factors when giving back to yourself!
4. Invest your time in the right people
Surrounding yourself with loving, compassionate, and supportive people, nourishes your spirit from the inside out! Make sure you have a group of friends and family that you can rely on, that give you the same safety and love you give them. Giving back to yourself is easy, when it’s the norm in your everyday circles!
5. Find and do activities that bring you joy
With so many obligations day to day, it has become more important than ever for someone to find a hobby or activity that really lights them up inside!
Nowadays, the options are endless! Maybe it’s something that you loved to do as a child, or maybe you can try a new activity that you’ve always wanted to do? Find something – and love doing it with every ounce of yourself!
