At Bliss we welcome celebrities all over the world to come and take time out from their busy lives in the spotlight and to have a week just for themselves, to enforce self-love, heal their souls and leave them feeling ready to go back to their hectic lives.
We have been truly saddened by the tragic news of UK Love Island presenter Caroline Flack taking her own life recently. Our thoughts go out to her family and friends, she was such a beautiful soul.
Sometimes people forget that celebrities are normal human beings too, they want to feel loved, they want to feel happy in their own skin and they want people to be kind to them. Yes, celebrities’ lives may be fun and seem perfect through social media, but at the same time being in the public eye has it’s struggles and can really affect their mental wellbeing.
We must be kind to other people; you never know what someone might be going through or how they are feeling. As women, we must promote wellbeing and happiness in everything we do, which is our ethos here at Bliss.
We all suffer traumas at different times in our life and they need to be healed in order for us to be happy in our lives. We need to tap into our intuition as deep down inside we know what we need. We need to listen to our bodies and inner dialogue and how they react. We need to admit when we need help, do our research and go with our guts.
It takes a lot of trust and for a lot of people it means overcoming fear, but openness and faith are the biggest healers when asking for somebody else’s help.
Malin Andersson who visited Bliss twice last year has said how much Bliss has helped her mental health and given her time to heal after such a tragic and painful year: “So I have left @blisssanctuaryforwomen feeling like a transformed woman. We all have things that we need to work on as individuals and coming to Bliss I have really worked on myself mentally and physically. From the heart I can say I am so so grateful for this experience. Every single detail was thought of, the girls were amazing from the fresh cooking, the massages, the rooms immaculate every day, the scenic views and just the general family feel of this place I could not recommend it enough. It’s been life changing and I will certainly be back ❤️ Forever a #blissambassador. 🌴🌸”
We were so thankful to meet Malin and help her on her healing journey. It warms our soul to read comments like this and we are so blessed and thankful that our promise of tranquillity and healing has attracted the attention of so many celebrities.

Michelle Heaton at Bliss Sanctuary For Women
Michelle Heaton visited our Canggu sanctuary last month and explained her reasons for taking the break: “It’s been turbulent health wise and I’m not one for taking time out for myself because there’s always stuff that I’ve got to do and life is hectic. It was just about having time for me so that’s why I wanted to do it and to be honest I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was until I got there.”
Michelle, who underwent a mastectomy in 2012 and hysterectomy in 2014, described being “enlightened” by her blissful trip. She explained: “Recovery was, I suppose, within the first couple of months aesthetically, but hormonally, mentally and emotionally it’s a lifetime, so I just needed to understand that what happened and that it’s OK to say ‘that’s s**t’ rather than ‘it’s fine’.”
We are so thankful we were able to provide an environment where Michelle could focus on herself and use this time away to heal from her trauma. We are all about building up other women at Bliss, being supportive and giving each other that helping hand needed.
We want to empower all women to feel the best version of themselves at Bliss and to feel empowered when they head back home. We welcome any woman, celebrity or not, who feels like she needs some time out, just to be alone or even with a friend, to heal and reconnect in the comfort of our warm family environment.

We wanted to share our Bliss experience as far as it can go and so we created Bliss News. Even if you can’t go on a beautiful personalised Women’s Retreat right now, we hope you can take the time to add a bit more bliss to your life in whatever way you choose. Self love comes in all different shapes and sizes but the one thing it has in common is that it starts with you. We hope some of our ideas and laughs and wellness retreat additions are something you can incorporate into your everyday life... love Zoë xxx
